Sustainability in production must start from a broader perspective, which considers the impact of the design and creation of the piece, its cleaning and maintenance, the definition of its best possible end of life, future reuse or recycling. More sustainable practices must also combat excessive and mass production, promoting small and medium-scale, local production, using slow processes and technology to reduce the industry's impact.
