DIGIMUSE ENTER presented at the conference "Arte tra mecenatismo e nuove tecnologie"

Pescara, 30 May 2026 – The European project DIGIMUSE ENTER – Digital Tools for the Inclusive Accessibility to Cultural Heritage was presented on 30 May 2026 during the conference "Arte tra mecenatismo e nuove tecnologie", held at the Auditorium Petruzzi in Pescara.

During the conference, Ermanno de Pompeis, Curator of the Museo delle Genti d'Abruzzo, presented the project's journey, achievements, and future perspectives. Co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, DIGIMUSE ENTER aims to support the inclusive digital transformation of small cultural organisations across Europe.
During his presentation, de Pompeis highlighted how the project was conceived in response to one of the major challenges currently facing the cultural sector: reducing the digital divide that still separates many small cultural organisations from larger and better-resourced institutions, while at the same time ensuring greater accessibility and inclusion in the enjoyment of cultural heritage.
DIGIMUSE ENTER builds upon the achievements of the previous DIGI.MUSE project and brings together a partnership of eight organisations from seven European countries, working collaboratively to promote digital innovation in the cultural sector and improve access to culture for all citizens.

The objectives of the project
During the presentation, the main objectives of DIGIMUSE ENTER were outlined:

  • Strengthening the digital skills of local cultural professionals to support more inclusive and accessible cultural offerings;
  • Bridging the digital divide between small and large cultural organisations in terms of access to and use of digital solutions;
  • Developing training pathways based on the European Digital Competence Framework (DigComp 2.2);
  • Promoting the use of European micro-credentials, providing recognised and transferable digital certifications for completed learning pathways;
  • Expanding the DIGI.MUSE Network.

Achievements to Date
Now approaching the midpoint of its implementation, DIGIMUSE ENTER has already achieved significant results:

  • 267 new stakeholders engaged across Europe
  • 17 good practices identified and analysed to promote accessibility and inclusion through digital tools
  • More than 100 cultural heritage professionals involved in project activities
  • 8 co-creation workshops organised to identify training needs and innovative solutions
  • 4 open-access training courses developed for cultural professionals on the following topics:
    o    Digital Skills for Inclusion
    o    Artificial Intelligence for Inclusive and Accessible Cultural Offerings
    o    Strategic Planning for Inclusive Digital Innovation
    o    European Opportunities for Digitalisation

The presentation of DIGIMUSE ENTER at the conference provided an important opportunity to share the experience gained by the European partnership with cultural professionals, institutions, and citizens, while fostering reflection on the role that digital technologies can play in making cultural heritage increasingly accessible, inclusive, and participatory.
