SELF WP5 Outputs Released: Advancing Uptake and Long-Term Impact

SELF WP5 Outputs Released: Advancing Uptake and Long-Term Impact

The SELF project consortium announces the publication of its key Work Package 5 outputs to support the uptake and sustained impact of the previous project results: the SELF Mainstreaming Strategy and Operational Guidelines and the SELF Solo-Entrepreneurship and Self-Employability Manifesto in Higher Education. The documents can be accessed here. They build on the previous project results and partners’ experience with their implementation, and offer a comprehensive framework to enhance the capabilities of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in preparing learners for the evolving world of work and solo-entrepreneurship. Responding to major structural shifts in European labour markets, the SELF project addresses the growing relevance of solo entrepreneurship and self-employability as viable yet under-supported career pathways. While EU frameworks such as the EntreComp framework emphasise entrepreneurial competences, their implementation in higher education remains fragmented. SELF bridges this gap by translating policy into practice through competence-based, scalable, and inclusive solutions. The published outputs provide HEIs with concrete tools to embed solo-entrepreneurship into curricula and institutional strategies. The SELF Training, structured around modular courses and delivered via an open-access digital OER platform, enables flexible adoption across curricular, extra-curricular, and blended formats. It supports students in developing practical competences such as financial literacy, client acquisition, and digital transformation, while fostering confidence and self-efficacy. Beyond training, the SELF Manifesto highlights innovative pedagogical approaches—including co-teaching with entrepreneurs, real-world immersion, and challenge-based learning—that transform universities into active entrepreneurial ecosystems. The SELF Mainstreaming Strategy and Operational Guidelines complement this by offering guidance for sustainable implementation, emphasising coordinated support across education, stimulation, and incubation stages, as well as strong connections with regional ecosystems. For policymakers, the SELF results underline the importance of aligning education, labour market policies, and support instruments to reduce barriers to self-employment, particularly for youth and underrepresented groups. For the expert community, the project contributes evidence-based insights and transferable good practices to advance entrepreneurship education across Europe. Together, these outputs position solo entrepreneurship as a strategic, inclusive, and future-oriented pathway—empowering HEIs to play a central role in shaping resilient and adaptable careers. About the SELF project The SELF project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program. Its aim is to promote individual entrepreneurship in post-pandemic Europe by developing innovative, high-quality, and accessible training materials tailored to the needs of higher education students and emerging entrepreneurs. The SELF project surpasses 500 participants in Europe in the validation of its self-employment training program

The SELF project surpasses 500 participants in Europe in the validation of its self-employment training program

March 31, 2026, Malaga, Spain – The SELF project (Solo Entrepreneurship in Post- pandemic) Europe), coordinated by the University of Malaga (UMA), continues to advance successfully in its Test & Validation (T&V) phase , already reaching more than 500 participants throughout Europe in its pilot actions of training in individual entrepreneurship. This phase is a key element of the project, as it allows for the validation of the quality, relevance, and applicability of the training content developed, ensuring its suitability to the real needs of students, entrepreneurs, and future self-employed professionals. During this phase of the project, the following aspects stand out: Validation in real-world contexts: The pilot projects are being developed in different European countries and in multiple formats (face-to-face training, academic sessions and online learning), allowing the materials to be tested in diverse educational and professional environments. Participation over objectives: The project set a minimum goal of validating the training with 200 participants. However, the results achieved so far far exceed this figure, with more than 500 people trained, demonstrating the high interest in self-employment as a professional alternative in Europe. Diversity of participating profiles: The validation phase has involved a wide variety of profiles, including university students, vocational training students, entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs, as well as professionals in the educational field, ensuring a complete evaluation from different perspectives. Continuous improvement based on feedback: The Test & Validation process includes the systematic collection of feedback from participants, which allows for the improvement of training content, optimization of the learning experience, and assurance of the program's pedagogical quality. Open access digital platform: The training program is supported by a digital platform of open educational resources (OER), which facilitates access to content, self-assessment tools and skills certification, reinforcing the digital and innovative dimension of the project. Towards the consolidation of the training model The results obtained in this phase will allow the training materials to be refined and improved before their final implementation, guaranteeing their quality, transferability and scalability in different educational and professional contexts. The SELF project is thus moving towards the consolidation of an innovative, open and accessible training model, aimed at promoting self-employment and strengthening entrepreneurial skills in Europe. About Project SELF The SELF project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program. Its aim is to promote individual entrepreneurship in post-pandemic Europe by developing innovative, high-quality, and accessible training materials tailored to the needs of higher education students and emerging entrepreneurs. BAIT-HEI Project Continues Developing Artificial Intelligence Tools for Higher Education

BAIT-HEI Project Continues Developing Artificial Intelligence Tools for Higher Education

The international project BAIT-HEI (Brilliant Artificial Intelligence Toolkit – Higher Education Instructors), implemented by a consortium of nine European institutions (Škoda Auto University, Comenius University Bratislava, HTW Dresden, IHF, IDP, Internet Web Solutions, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, SOC Blended Learning, and the University of Dubrovnik), is funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union and is successfully progressing in the implementation of its key activities. The project focuses on supporting higher education instructors in the meaningful and responsible use of artificial intelligence tools in teaching, the creation of study materials, and student assessment. During the autumn period, project partners completed the activities within Working Package 2, whose main outcome is a comprehensive analysis and mapping of generative AI tools applicable in higher education environments. One of the key results is the digital tool AI-TRIX – an interactive online platform providing an overview of AI tools, their pedagogical applications, ethical aspects, and practical use scenarios. All partner organizations contributed to the development and content preparation through research activities, preparation of expert materials, translations, validation of outputs, and technical development of the platform. The project is already demonstrating a significant impact on the academic community. Project outcomes have been presented through university events, professional meetings, social media, and online platforms, reaching thousands of educators, students, and other stakeholders across Europe. At the same time, the project promotes open access to education and supports the development of educators’ digital competencies, which are increasingly important in response to the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies. Currently, preparatory work within Working Package 3 is being finalized, focusing on the development of educational courses and teaching materials building on the results of the previous project phase. Partners are jointly designing course structures, defining learning outcomes, and preparing content aimed at the practical application of AI in teaching across various academic disciplines. These materials will subsequently be pilot-tested with higher education instructors and students to verify their benefits and usability in real educational settings. The BAIT-HEI project is thus entering its next phase, connecting research outcomes with practical implementation and supporting innovative approaches to higher education across the European academic landscape.

BAIT-HEI Project Launches English Version of AI-Supported Training Toolkit for Higher Education

BAIT-HEI Project Launches English Version of AI-Supported Training Toolkit for Higher Education

The BAIT-HEI project announces the imminent release of the English version of its AI-supported Training Toolkit, marking an important milestone in the project’s efforts to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital competencies in higher education. Developed through international collaboration between universities, trainers, and innovation experts, the toolkit provides a comprehensive set of learning resources designed to support students, educators, and higher education institutions in developing practical skills relevant to today’s rapidly evolving digital and entrepreneurial ecosystems. The training materials are available through the project website at https://www.baithei.eu and are intended to be used as flexible educational resources that can be integrated into higher education curricula, workshops, or capacity-building programmes.   The English Training Toolkit includes six training modules that address key competence areas required for innovation-oriented learning environments: Entrepreneurship, Language and Communication, Innovation Management, STEM, Ai Enhanced Digital Marketing, and Project Management. Together, these modules provide a multidisciplinary learning framework aimed at strengthening transversal skills, entrepreneurial thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities among higher education students. Each module has been designed to combine conceptual understanding with practical application, including structured learning units, hands-on exercises, case studies, suggested tools and resources, self-assessment questions, and reference materials. This modular and practice-oriented approach allows educators to adapt the content to different academic contexts, course formats, or training programmes.   A distinctive element of the BAIT-HEI Training Toolkit is that the modules were developed using AI-supported methodologies under the guidance of expert trainers and academic specialists. Artificial Intelligence tools were used to assist in structuring training content, generating examples and case scenarios, supporting the design of exercises and assessments, and facilitating the development of innovative teaching materials. The use of AI was carefully supervised to ensure academic reliability, pedagogical coherence, and alignment with responsible AI principles. This approach demonstrates how AI can support educators in developing high-quality learning resources while maintaining human oversight and critical evaluation.   The training modules aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application by encouraging active learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and practical experimentation. By integrating digital tools, project-based activities, and real-life scenarios, the BAIT-HEI Training Toolkit contributes to preparing students for the challenges of modern innovation ecosystems and dynamic labour markets. The release of the English version of the toolkit represents a significant step toward making the project’s outcomes accessible to a wider international academic community and supporting higher education institutions in fostering innovation-driven learning environments.   Through this initiative, the BAIT-HEI project contributes to the development of more entrepreneurial and innovation-oriented higher education systems, helping institutions equip students with the competencies needed to navigate complex technological, economic, and social transformations.   More information about the project and access to the training materials can be found at https://www.baithei.eu   About BAIT-HEI The BAIT-HEI project is an Erasmus+ funded initiative that aims to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration within higher education institutions. The project brings together a consortium of universities and partner organisations from several European countries, working together to support the development of entrepreneurial skills, interdisciplinary cooperation, and innovation capacity in academic environments. Through the creation of training materials, collaborative tools, and capacity-building activities, BAIT-HEI promotes stronger links between higher education, research, and innovation ecosystems. The project develops practical learning resources and methodologies designed to help students, educators, and institutions enhance their ability to generate innovative solutions and entrepreneurial initiatives.

WP3 Delivers a Complete Innovation Package for VET Providers

WP3 Delivers a Complete Innovation Package for VET Providers

The BT4VET partnership proudly announces the official results of Work Package 3 (WP3), marking the next major step in supporting VET organisations to become more competitive, diversified, and sustainable. Building on the analytical groundwork established in WP2, WP3 translates strategic insights into practical, ready-to-use solutions that strengthen VET providers’ innovation capacity and long-term development.   1. Business Transformation Model for VET Operators A new conceptual model has been developed to help VET institutions evolve beyond traditional training roles and expand into multi-service organisations. This transformation model outlines how VET providers can integrate innovation, digitalisation, entrepreneurship support, industry partnerships, community engagement, and international mobility services into their operational strategy. It serves as a strategic blueprint for institutions aiming to modernise their offer, enhance relevance in changing labour markets, and increase their resilience.   2. BT4VET Business Suite Complementing the conceptual model, WP3 introduces the BT4VET Business Suite — a collection of practical tools designed to support VET providers in implementing innovative approaches in their daily work. The Suite includes frameworks for product development, market positioning, stakeholder engagement, HR development, quality assurance, financial monitoring, and customer experience improvement. Available in five languages (EN, LV, IT, ES, PL), the Suite provides VET operators with actionable resources to strengthen internal capacity, enhance service quality, and support evidence-based decision-making.   What’s Next? In the coming months, BT4VET partners will pilot the Business Suite with VET institutions across partner countries, gathering real-world feedback to refine the tools and maximise usability. These results will then be shared through national and European dissemination events to encourage wide-scale adoption. Ultimately, WP3 aims to empower VET providers to embed innovative business models in their daily operations, supporting their sustainability and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving educational landscape.
