About the project

EDU-Home is a leading European platform designed to connect university students with accommodation providers across the continent. The portal functions as a centralized hub where students can locate official residences, shared apartments, and rooms, using an advanced filtering system to find the ideal home during their academic stage.

Client needs

EDUCatt, as the project leader, needed a digital solution that would eliminate fragmentation in housing searches for international students. The key requirements were:

• Centralization: unifying the offer of official residences and private accommodations in one place.
• Complex data management: capability to handle detailed information for each property to allow ultra-specific searches.
• Management ecosystem: a robust private panel that allowed administrators and providers to manage inventory, verify information, and control spot availability.

Our solution

Unlike other projects, EDU-Home's complexity required a fully custom development. At Internet Web Solutions, we built the platform from scratch, without using external templates or frameworks, ensuring clean, secure, and 100% optimized code:

• Development "from scratch": pure programming for total control over system performance and scalability.
• Simplified public access: optimized user flow so searches are free; registration is only required for advanced features like saving favorites or direct messaging.
• Smart filtering system: implementation of search logic that offers clarity on specific requirements (gender, minimum age, services, etc.).
• Native multilingual architecture: prepared for the European international environment.
• Advanced private management: We developed a control panel for administrators and providers that allows user moderation and full maintenance of the residence inventory privately and securely.
